Located on the pool deck, this complimentary dining venue offers a variety of hot dogs and sausages. Like Explorer of the Seas, the full amplification of Adventure of the Seas has been delayed. When the Royal Amplified program restarts, though, many of Royal Caribbean's newest dining venues, bars, and activities are expected to be added to the ship. Other than the dining and beverage venues shared on all Voyager Class ships, Explorer of the Seas has Giovanni’s Table, The Tavern bar, and the Connoisseur Club. Royal Caribbean emailed me multiple times about this inspection, so I knew it was going to happen. When Voyager of the Seas debuted in 1999, she turned the cruising world upside down. This was the ship that introduced the idea of having an ice-skating rink at sea, rock climbing wall at sea, and indoor promenade. Voyager of the Seas cabins aren’t huge, but with so much fun to be had around the ship, you probably won't be in there much anyway. Combine affordable cabins with loads of free activities and an even number of complimentary and for-a-fee restaurants, and it's no surprise Voyager of the Seas is a hit with budget-conscious travelers.
On Adventure, you will find Splashaway Bay, an aqua park complete with waterslides and splash areas. On Navigator there is a splash pad area with water sprayers. Guests sailing on Voyager, Navigator, and Mariner of the Seas can play laser tag onboard. Also held in Studio B, Battle for Planet Z is a glow-in-the-dark laser tag experience. Guests wear electronic vests and break up into teams to face off in the laser tag arena. Over time, though, Royal Caribbean realized the ships could use some updates.
Overview of Voyager of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas
Relax at Royal Caribbean's spa, onboard gym, fitness courses, boxing ring and jogging track. Royal Caribbean's spa has plenty of relaxing treatments like massages, facials and more. Experience the bliss of cruising of across the Atlantic with intriguing stops along the way on a Transatlantic cruise. Find peace or adventure in the stunning paradises of the South Pacific. Raise a glass to the Mediterranean where you’ll find magnificent churches and castles, along with spectacular food. The history and art are nothing to shake a stick at either.
When it comes to incredible family vacations, nothing beats a Royal Caribbean cruise. These are just a few of the many wow-worthy attractions onboard — there are plenty more thrills, restaurants, and family-friendly experiences to discover during your vacation cruise getaway. Two twin beds that convert to a Royal King size bed, additional bunk beds in separate area, separate sitting area with sofa bed, and a private bathroom with shower. There are a few differences between these two ships when it comes to activities. Voyager of the Seas offers laser tag in Studio B, called Battle for Planet Z. On the other hand, Adventure of the Seas has a Splashaway Bay on the pool deck. This area includes a Baby Splash Zone for kids who are not potty-trained so they can enjoy the pool as well. Two bedrooms with two twin beds that convert to Royal King (one room with third and fourth Pullman beds), balcony, two bathrooms (one with tub) and living area with double sofa bed.

This is because during the Royal Amplification on Voyager, new staterooms were added where the spa and fitness center used to be. Each evening, a "country club casual" dress code applies, and shorts, jeans, deck shoes and tracksuits are all acceptable. Bare feet are only acceptable on the Pool Deck, and bathing suits are not allowed in the restaurants or lounges at any time -- though they can be worn at the Pool Grill and Bar.
Enjoy spa-like comfort in your stateroom, perfect for couples. Mariner of the Seas shares many of the same dining and lounge venues as Navigator of the Seas. During the recent amplification of Voyager of the Seas, the Vitality Spa & Fitness Center as well as Adventure Ocean areas were refurbished and modernized. There is a new outdoor hangout area for teenagers onboard as well.
As implied by its name, our upgraded cabin did indeed feel quite spacious at 211 square feet. Comparatively, our interior cabin would've been 160 square feet. The additional space was noticeable by the window and bed area. Adventure of the Seas may be a much better choice for those with small children who are not yet potty trained because it has a Splashaway Bay. During hot weather vacations, this would be a huge benefit and a factor to consider in your ship selection. I believe because Voyager of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas are so similar, the decision of which ship to cruise on would ultimately come down to the itinerary and price.
Onboard Voyager of the Seas clothing is casual during the day. Evenings dress is either casual, smart casual or formal. On casual nights, suggested clothing is sports shirts and slacks for men and sundresses or pants for women.
Each ship also has a Solarium with a pool and two jacuzzis. The Solarium is not totally enclosed, so the pool is in the sunlight and the jacuzzis are in the shade. The pool chairs in the Solarium are padded for extra comfort. Royal Amplified is Royal Caribbean’s program that updates ships’ amenities, staterooms, dining and lounge choices, activities, and more.
